For the last nine years, moveBuddha has been on a mission to help people relocate, creating digital tools that are changing the way people find moving information and resources online.
With a fully remote team, organizing an in-person meet-up has always been a dream for the company. But it wasn’t until this past year, when their team doubled in size, that they finally found the time and reason.
The plan? Four fun-filled days in Deerfield, Florida.
The goal? Make memories, brainstorm strategy, and build company culture. Read on to find out how it went!
Desiring to keep the retreat low-key and relaxed, the offsite began with a team dinner at Deerfield’s award-winning oceanfront restaurant, Oceans 234, followed by an early night.
On the first full retreat day, the moveBuddha team divided their time between high-level strategy sessions and an al fresco lunch, where they had time to chat and soak up the sun.
After a packed day of idea generation, the Surf Office team organized for the group to head over to an escape room to test their problem-solving skills and have a few laughs before dinner.
The following day was just as productive, and the schedule left an evening open for the team to head over to JB’s On The Beach for a seafood dinner and one last Florida sunset to end off the retreat.
The final result? Four epic days in The Sunshine State, where team members had the opportunity to get to know one another better, share ideas, and make memories that will last a lifetime. We can’t wait to see where the moveBuddha team re-locates for their next offsite!
