L'équipe de 237 personnes de GoHenry se réunit pour 3 jours de cohésion d'équipe

GoHenry is a financial tech company with team members based in the UK and United States. Their pre-paid debit card and app helps kids ages 6-18 learn practical money management skills that inspire a lifetime of financial well-being.

This June, the GoHenry team (all 237 of them!) came together on the sunny Portuguese coast of Ericeira for three days of team-bonding and a whole lot of fun. Read on to find out how Surf Office helped them plan an epic retreat!

As a remote-first team, having the opportunity to come together face-to-face was a big deal for the GoHenry squad and their primary goal was to create an experience that put people first.

During the planning process, the team opted to structure their schedule in a way that prioritized getting to know one another in a more relaxed and social way.

This focus on fun also meant taking their activities outside the meeting room. In fact, you won’t find a single company presentation on the agenda for their three-day getaway! Instead team members were given active options that let them get outside, spend time together and enjoy the Ericeira sunshine. 

Teresa, our lead retreat planner and Fernanda our local support in Ericeira, helped organize surfing, yoga, mountain biking, rock climbing, beach volleyball, a SUP session on the Lizandro River, two birthday BBQ celebrations at La Barraque and more (plus a photography team to capture it all!). With so many options, each team member was able to choose their own adventure, mixing and matching activities to create their own unique (and perfect for them) retreat experience.

The result? One happy group and hundreds of unforgettable memories.
